Alexander Beal - wholesale dealer in coal; born, Detroit, Feb. 3, 1864; son of William and Elizabeth (Stockdale) Beal; educated in public and high schools of Detroit; unmarried. Began active career in employ of Detroit & Cleveland Navigation Co., became connected as bookkeeper with Smith & Campbel, wholesale coal dealers, 1882; and in 1887, when firm became Stanley B. Smith & Co., was admitted as partner. Republican. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Clubs: Detroit, Detroit Boat, Detroit Golf, Fellowcraft. Recreations: Golf, travel. Office: 52 Newberry Bldg. - Frank Beal -
Frank Edwin Beal, vice president National-Fulton Brass Manufacturing Co.; born, Detroit, Aug. 24, 1861; son of William and Elizabeth (Stockdale) Beal; educated in public and high schools of Detroit and at Detroit Business College. Entered employ of Fulton Iron and Engine Works, 1880, was admitted to the firm and since reorganization in 1902 as the National-Fulton Brass Manufacturing Co., has been vice president. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Republican. Presbyterian. Mason. Club: Detroit, Old Club, Country, Detroit Boat, Harmonie. Recreation: Outdoor sports.
