Wholesale druggist; born, Detroit, Jan. 7, 1862; son of David W. and Emma (Sheley) Brooks; educated in Patterson's Private School; married , Detroit, Sept. 29, 1887, Zaidee Hubbard. Has been engaged in the drug business since the beginning of his active career, September, 1877; secretary Williams-Davis-Brooks & Hinchmann Sons (established, 1819) and The Michigan Drug Co., jobbing druggists and manufacturers Dabrook's perfumes, also a line of proprietary medicines. Member Society of Colonial Wars (treasurer for Michigan branch). Republican. Club: Yondotega, Detroit, Detroit Boat, Country. Recreation: Automobiling. Office: 26-38 E. WALTER BROOKS

Wholesale coal; born, Detroit, Sept. 18, 1870; son of David Wheelock and Emma (Sheley) Brooks; graduate Harvard University, degree of A.B., 1894, and Olivet College, B.S., 1895; married at Burlington, N.C., Apr. 25, Florence E. Holt. Was connected with the Michigan Drug Co., 1894-95; began in coal business, March, 1895, and is secretary Jewett, Bigelow & Brooks, producers of coal; J.B.B. Colleries Co., Twin Branch Mining Co., Maher Coal and coke Co. Republican. Presbyterian. Clubs: Detroit, Detroit Boat, Country, Automobile. Recreations: Rowing, automobiling.
