schools and at Detroit Business University; married at Detroit, Feb. 8, 1898, Adele R. Widman.
Began active career as errand boy for Frank J. Martz & Co., 1883; office boy Pingree Shoe Co., 1886, bookkeeper and cashier same, 1898, and Pacific coast representative of the firm until 1902; organized The Detroit Insurance Agency, with Arthur J. Gaukler, of which became secretary and treasurer; reorganized as Detroit Insurance Agency, of which has been president and general manager since time of reorganization.
Also treasurer Lemley Appraisal Co. Member Detroit Board of Commerce, Harmonie Society, Detroit Fishing and Hunting Association. Republican. Episcopalian. Recreations: Hunting and fishing.
