MORRIS, Charles V. Designer, manufacturer military and society goods; born, Cincinnati, O., Aug. 25, 1857;son of Charles N, and Rosalie (Brachmann) Morris; educated in public schools of Cincinnati; unmarried. Began active career in Cincinnati by learning the printing trade, later engaging as general designer for himself and then in same capacity with Pettibone manufacturing Co., Cincinnati, O., manufacturers of military and society goods; came to Detroit, 1890, and was with the Armstrong CO. until 1892, when he assisted in organizing the firm of Morgan, Puhl & Morris, which in 1905 was succeeded by the Detroit Regalia Co., of which he is second vice president and director. Republican. Protestant. Member Knights of Pythias, A.F. & A.M. (32o), Shriner. Recreations: Reading, theater. Office: 117-119 Jefferson Av. Residence: 71 Washington Blvd.

MORRIS, Edmund A. Born in Detroit, Nov. 17, 1857; son of Robert and Mary (Darling) Morris; graduate Detroit high school, June, 1873, Detroit Business University, May, 1874; married, Detroit, Sept. 8, 1880, Ida S. Hall. Began active career as office boy with J.N. Raymond & Co., June 7, 1876; company dissolved, 1879, and was succeeded by Samuel Ferguson, for whom acted as general manager until 1883, with the Detroit Lead Pipe and Sheet Lead Works was organized, of which he has been secretary and treasurer from time of organization. Also vice president Union Foundry Co., Anniston, Alb. Member Masonic order, Damascus Commandery, No. 42, Knights Templar. Club: Detroit Golf. Recreation: Traveling. MORRIS, Scott Harrison Secretary and treasurer The Standard Foundry Co.; born, Indianapolis, Ind., Feb. 26, 1860; son of Samuel Vance and Jane Elizabeth (Harrison) Morris; educated in public schools of Indianapolis, graduating from the high school, 1877; married at Indianapolis, Jan. 1, 1888, Laura Ann Pease. Began active career in employ of Atlas Engine Works, Indianapolis, and learned trade of iron moulder, 1878-81; came to Detroit and acted as superintendent of the American Radiator Co. until 1893; organized the Globe Iron Works, 1893, which was succeeded by the Standard Foundry Co., 1899, iron foundry and manufacturers of automobile engines, of which has been secretary and treasurer since time of incorporation.
