STANDART Born, Monroeville, O., July 17, 1834; son of Henry W. and Ann (Gardner) Standart; educated in public and private schools of New York state; came to Detroit, 1855; married, Ohio, 1858, Mary C. Miller. Has been engaged in hardware business over fifty years; was with Buhl & Du Charme, 1855-63; in 1863 organized, with his brother, the firm of Standart Bros., wholesale hardware, and incorporated the same, 1900, as Standart Bros., Ltd., of which he has since been chairman.
