FREDERICK THOMSON

Assistant treasurer and assistant manager Michigan Sprocket Chain Co.; born, London, Ont., Can., Sept. 12, 1870; son of Frederick and Catherine (Gauld) Thomson; educated, in public schools of London; married at London, Nov. 3, 1897, Miss Frances Giddens. Came to Detroit, 1892, and entered employ of Farrand, Williams & Clark, wholesale drugs; then became connected with the Detroit Sprocket Chain Co. as cashier for three years and was with the Detroit Automatic Stoker Co., as secretary and treasurer about four years; has been identified with the Michigan Sprocket Chain Co. since 1903 and has been assistant treasurer and assistant manager of the company since 1904. Republican. Episcopalian. Recreations: Baseball, theater, reading. Office: 2070 Jefferson Av., W. Residence: 125 Harper Av.

Born, London, Ont., Sept. 3, 1872; son of Frederick St. George and Katherine A. (Gauld) Thomson; educated in public and high schools, Canada; married at Detroit, Oct. 8, 1901, Ethel M. Farrell. Came to Detroit, 1890, and entered employ of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co.; continued in various capacities in the office until 1895, when he began solicitation of insurance; became connected with Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Co. in 1900, and since April, 1904, has been partner Utter & Thompson, general agents New England Mutual Life Insurance Co. Member Detroit Life Underwriters' Association. Episcopalian. Mason. Clubs: Detroit Boat and Detroit Boat Club Yachtsman. Recreations: Tennis, baseball, etc. Office: 203 Telegraph Bldg.
