WILLIAM C. HESTER to SANDRA FITZPATRICK
Married 19 May 1956

Titan-haired Beauty Sandra Fitzpatrick walked down the aisle of St. Paul Church at noon Saturday to become the bride of William C. Hester.

Her gown of platinum white satin, designed by Castille of Lanvin, was fashioned along sixteenth century Spanish lines. Its voluminous skirt cascaded into a cathedral train.

With it Sandra wore a full-length veil of rosepointe lace, brought from Brussels by her mother. She carried a white tulle and ribbon basket, filled with white orchids, stephanotia and lillies of the valley.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Fitzpatrick of Cloverly road. Mrs. H. Keith Smith was Sandra's matron of honor. She was gowned in mint green silk organza, with tucked bodice, short sleeves and very full skirt. A natural straw picture hat, interwoven with streamers of the organza, and a basket of pink Enchantress geraniums completed her ensemble.

Dressed identically and carrying baskets of pink and coral geraniums were Bridesmaids, Starr Holland, Sally Mitchell, Elaine Schenk, Elizabeth Leonard, Terry Phelan and Susan Whitehead.

James D. Standish III was best man for the bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hester of Lewiston road.

Guests were seated by Gary Symington, Murray Sales III, Nicholas Ruhe, Peter Paddock, Bill Hamilton and Robert Kanzler. A reception at the country club followed the ceremony.

For her daughters, wedding, Mrs. Fitzpatrick chose a pale blue peau de sole and Alencon lace gown by Sophie. The bridegrooms mother wore champagne silk taffeta and Chantilly lace.

For traveling to Sea Island, Ga., the new Mrs. Hester donned a bronze silk dress dotted in white geige wool coat lined in the matching silk and an Emme hat, in shades of bronze and white.
