ESSIE BEE (STOKES) LEE , was born in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama on January 26, 1919. She was one of eleven children born to the union of the late Jimmy and Pearl (Penny) Stokes. Essie grew up and attended school in Alabama and Kentucky. She later moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she made her home for over fifty-five years. She was a long time member of the True Light Baptist Church in Detroit. On February 5, 1954, Essie was united in marriage with the late Oscar Lee, and to this union, one daughter, Fannie, was born. Fannie also preceded Essie in death on September 9, 2001. After her daughter's passing, Essie moved to Waynesville, Missouri to be near granddaughter, Wanda, and her loving family. Essie dedicated her life to the love and care of not only her family, but of many, many others. She loved going to people's homes and giving aide to those who needed her nursing abilities. Essie went home to be with her Lord the afternoon of Saturday, November 5, 2005, at the Life Care Center of Waynesville, Missouri, at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 10 days. Essie was very dearly loved, and will be sadly missed by granddaughter: Wanda Williams and her husband, Roosevelt of Waynesville, MO; four great grandchildren: Angelo, Christina, Renaldo and Anya; five great-great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, husband and daughter, Essie was also preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2005 in the Memorial Chapel of Waynesville with Rev. Dan Biggs officiating. The songs "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art" were played. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert. Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 11, 2005 in the Andrews Funeral Home of Detroit, Michigan with Rev. Robert Lewis Cooper officiating. Serving as escorts were friends of the family. Burial followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery of Detroit, Michigan. Services were under the direction of Andres Funeral Home of Detroit. Memorial contributions are suggested in memory of Essie Bee Lee to the Alzheimer's Association and may be left at Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert.

MARY LOUISE I. (FORMELLA) LEMANSKI , 72, left to join our Lord on March 8, 2008 in Ypsilanti, MI. Mary Louise Formella was born on April 18, 1935 in Detroit, MI, to the late Theodore and Caroline (Krahn) Formella. Mary Louise married her high school sweetheart, Frank Lemanski, on Februrary 27, 1954. Frank and Mary Louise raised their five children in Sumpter Township, Belleville, MI. They retired to Petoskey, MI and then to Bartow, FL. Mary Louise moved to Houghton Lake, MI after the loss of Frank in 2002. Mary Louise cherished her family and was a devoted Catholic. She loved to bake and cook. She enjoyed needlepoint and her puzzle books. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and never missed listening to a game on the radio. She was a Girl Scout leader, cake decorator, and beautician. Mary Louise was preceded in death by her parents and husband as well as her siblings Ted, Leo, Caroline, Teddy, and Richard Formella, Anna Felczak and Fred Lorenz. She was survived by her four daughters Mary Carol (and Dan) Moellering of Petoskey, MI, Nancy (and Larry) Stout of Walloon Lake, MI, Pat Koch of Plymouth, MI, Susie (and Tony) Jurewicz of Gaylord, MI, and her son Frank Lemanski of Edwardsburg, MI. She was also survived by ten grandchildren: Dan (and Jocelyn), Caroline, and Marianne Moellering, Heather (and Brian) Kelly, Jeannine Stout, Diane (and Bruno) Oliveira, Jessica and James Koch, Frank and Christopher Lemanski, and four great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her brother William Lorenz of Belleville, MI, her sisters Thea Clasen of Ypsilanti, MI and JoAnn Lange of Maybee, MI, her brothers-in-law Marty Kalasz and David (and Dee) Lemanski, her sisters-in-law Anna May Formella and Connie Formella, and many nieces and nephews, including Chuck, Mike, and Mary Felczak (her foster nieces and nephews).
