I, Frances A. Studer, of Detroit in the county of Wayne and state of Michigan, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, in manner following, viz:
First, I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid in full.
Second, I give, divide and bequeath to my daughter Ruth (Mrs. Rankin Philip Peck) and to my husband, Adolph G. Studer, an equal division of shares of stock of those which I possess in the following organizations;
Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company
Chicago R.R. Equipment Company
Wagner Electric Company
Missouri Portland Cement Company
American Car and Foundry Company
Pressed Steel Car Company
Washington-Detroit Theater Company
Also to my daughter Ruth (Mrs. Rankin Philip Peck) three (3) One Thousand Dollar Bonds of the Detroit Trust Company; one (1) One Thousand Dollar Bond of the Wagner Electric Company.
Also to my husband, Adolph G. Studer, one (1) One Thousand Dollar Bond of the Monsanto Chemical Works; one (1) One Thousand Dollar Bond of the Julius Kayser Company; one (1) One Thousand Dollar Bond of the Scullen-Gallagher Company; one (1) One Thousand Dollar Bond of the Wagner Electric Company.
To my brother, James M. Buick, I bequeath ten (10)shares of stock of the Wagner County and Home Savings Bank.
To my brother, Edmund Dunbar Buick, I bequeath five hundred dollars ($500.00) in cash.
To my daughter Ruth (Mrs. Rankin Philip Peck) I give and bequeath two (2) shares of stock of the Wayne County and Home Savings Bank, with power to sell and reinvest the proceeds in her discretion, to collect and reinvest the income thereof and income derived from the reinvested proceeds thereof and to accumulate the whole during the
life of Eliot Studer Peck, my grandson, provided, however, that if the said Eliot Studer Peck arrives at the age of eighteen (18) years, there the whole principal with its accumulations be applied to the education of the said Eliot Studer Peck or for his benefit in any other way that my daughter Ruth (Mrs. Rankin Philip Peck) may deem necessary or wise; and in case Eliot Studer Peck does not attain the age of eighteen (18) years, then the whole sum with the accumulations thereof shall belong to my daughter Ruth (Mrs. Rankin Philip Peck) absolutely.
After necessary expenses incident to my estate and the erection of a suitable monument, not to exceed a cost of two thousand dollars ($2000.00) on the family lot in Woodlawn Cemetery, are paid, all remaining cash in banks and otherwise, or any otherundesignated assets, shall be equally divided between my daughter Ruth (Mrs. Rankin Philip Peck) and my husband, Adolph G. Studer.
Should there not be available cash on hand to meet above expenses, sufficient bonds or shares of stock, shall be sold to provide for the contingency.
I herewith appoint my husband, Adolph G. Studer, as executor of my estate, wouthou bond.
I hereby appoint Adolph G. Studer of Detroit, Michigan, executor of this my last will and testament without bond.
Lastly, I hereby revoke all forever wills by me at any time made.
