Sunrise Cemetery

Little Rock township

This is a pioneer cemetery that occupies part of a tract of virgin prairie.

The cemetery is part of the Nobles county park system and is maintained.

There are no markers, only a sign that reads as follows:

 

At least 10 persons were buried in this cemetery, the last before 1900.

Settler Charles Morrison, in the absence of a clergyman, presided

at most internments. They are:

Charles Premo 1867-76

Mrs. F.E. Densmore 1854-78

Nancy Jenkins 1875-81

Nattie Jenkins 1877-81

Mabel Richards 1886-86

Ownie Jenkins Infant

Al Jackson

Mrs. Lease

Grandma Brooks

Unknown son of Mr and Mrs Charles Morrison

The last three were reburied at Little Rock Iowa
