Lt. Luther R. Hare of the 7th U.S. Cavalry, married Jennie A. Hancock, niece of Maj. Gen. W.S. Hancock on 21 June 1878 in St. Paul



SCOTT-PATTERSON
ST. PAUL, MINN. - The marriage of Miss Helen Patterson, 803 Goodrich avenue, to Lieutenant Charles Lewis Scott, United States cavalry, Fort Riley, Kansas, was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents. Rev. Julius A. Schaad officiated and those present included only relatives. Dr. Patterson gave his daughter in marriage and there were no attendants. The bride wore her going away gown of dark blue satin trimmed with lace, and her hat was a black chip straw trimmed with flowers in shaded blue tints. She wore a corsage bouquet of lilies of the valley and orchids.
