Another Prospective Citizen.
Dr. C. Q. Scoboria left yesterday on the noon coast train for North Yakima, Wash., where his brother in law. Prof. Selleck, is superintendent of the city schools. While the doctor's plans are not fully matured, he intends to locate in the west, but Mrs. Scoboria will remain here until June. Elk River will miss the doctor in many ways. During his 13 years' residence here he has always taken an active interest in the affairs of the village, having for years served on the board of education, also having been president of the village council. By his going away we lose a good physician and one of our best singers. A whist party was given in the doctor's honor at Grand Array hall, at which about 30 of his gentlemen friends were present. Card playing and smoking were enjoyed until 10 o'clock, when an oyster stew was served, the affair closing with another hour of playing and puffing. — Sherburne County, Minn., Star-News.
