"The Magnolia State"

"Mississippi Trails" is that portion of "Genealogy Trails" that will concentrate solely on the much beloved State of Mississippi. Cradled in the "Heart of Dixie" it is a State rich in the traditions of the old South. We are looking forward to walking with you through the Trails of Mississippi, turning up the old history and looking into the hearts of the pioneer families of this wonderful State. Tucked into the attics and basements of your homes you will probably find just exactly what this website is looking for. Dust off the old manuscripts, the family stories, all the age worn obituaries, letters and news items of the past. You might find old Uncle Jim's photo, in his Confederate uniform. What could make him prouder than for us to hang it back on the wall and include his story and adventures here on "Mississippi Trails". Let us know what you can contribute to our "cause". Every little tidbit is important and we'd love to have you share it with us and other researchers. You just never know when your little item will be the one thing that someone has been searching for.

Our goal is to help you track your ancestors through time by transcribing genealogical and historical data for the free use of all researchers.

We're looking for folks who share our dedication to putting data online and are interested in helping this project be as successful as it can be. If you are interested in joining Genealogy Trails, view our
Volunteer Page for further information and then contact Kim.
(Enough knowledge to make a basic webpage and a desire to transcribe data is required)
