J.H. Clark
J.H. Clark, who served in the First Louisiana Cavalry, died at the Jefferson Davis Home also. He was 88 years of
age and entered the home twelve years ago from Claiborne county, to which place his remains were taken today for

Dexter Cox
Killed by Falling Limb Near Gordon Station
Port Gibson, Miss., Sept. 3 - The body of Dexter Cox, a Negro, was turned
over to an undertaker here, to-day for burial. Cox was getting out timber in the woods near Gordon Station.
He was cutting down a tree, when a dead limb fell from the tree and struck Cox on the head, fracturing his skull,
