Brewer Community

Esatblished by Long Bell Timber Company about five miles southeast of Quitman, Mississippi, along what was the Mississippi Eastern Railroad, in 1905, and was named for an old settler, Daniel “Marsh” Brewer.  The Post Office was closed after only a year in 1906.

With the logging industry moving out of the area, residents of the community slowly left also.
