Quitman Route One News

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith, Mrs. J. L. Ivy and Daughter were Meridian visitors this week.

Miss Louise Larmer of Prichard, Ala. Was at home for the holidays.

Mr. V. McMillan of Alabama, was at home for the holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Thompson of Meridian were at home for the holidays.

Miss Clarice Strange of Waynesboro is visiting her grandparents.

Mr. and Mrs. John Carmichael and baby and Mr. Tims of Crandall, visited Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McLendon in Quitman recently.

Mr. and Mrs. Alton Strange of Waynesboro are spending some time with the laters mother.

Melvin Irby is at home after being in Alexandria, La., for some time.

Mr. and Mrs. Andy Tucker and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Harper Rucker, and daughter of Alabama, Mr. Paul Tucker of Wesson, Miss Dorothy Tucker of Stonewall and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Tucker of Pascagoula, visited Mr. and Mrs. Webster Tucker during the Christmas holidays.

John A. Larmer of DeSoto spent Christmas with his parents in Quitman.

Miss Francis Kuffel of Meridian is at home for the holidays.

Mr. J. D. Herrington and daughter, Dora Lee of Harmony visited J. E. McLendon and family on Route 1.

Mr. and Mrs. Alton Halbert of Alexandria, La., and Mr. Grady Halbert of Anniston, Ala., spent the Christmas holidays with relatives on Route 1.

Mr. and Mrs. George Buzick and children have returned home after spending Christmas with Mrs. Buzick’s parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Chester Strange of Pensacola, Fla., visited Mrs. C. A. Strange at New Hope recently.

Mrs. Lillie McKee is in Chichasaw, Ala., at the bedside of her mother who is quite ill.

Mr. Albert Weeks of the U. S. Navy visited his mother and Mr. and Mrs. Rich Smith recently.

Friends of Mrs. Lofton Fairchild will be glad to know that she is recovering from a recent illness.

Mr. Clayton Mathis has been on the sick list but at this time is reported recovering.

Mrs. Judy McMillan is on the sick list this week.

Mr. Alf Moore is a patient in the local hospital.

Mrs. Virginia Smith and baby are patients in the hospital here.

Alfred Moore is at home from Fort Benning, Ga., o spend several days.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore were called home recently due to the illness of their father.
