The Heard Cemetery rest on a high hill overlooking the Chickasawhay River. A fence & gate once proudly surrounded these graves but has fallen to time & trees. Much work is needed to keep this old cemetery up. The cemetery is hard to find as no road leads directly to the cemetery, but a logging road goes nearby, and then you walk up the high hill to the site. There is at least 7 (seven) sunken spots that could be grave sites outside the fenced in area.
