James Franklin Bolton

 


James Franklin Bolton, CSA
Enlisted in Clarke County, MS on Aug 30, 1862, by L. Miller.
He is listed on all cards as being in the 9th MS Regiment. On one card is Co. C
Prvt. Bolton was wounded at Murphreesboro and at Chickamaugua.
He served as a teamster on detachment service under Miller, Wheatley and General Johnstone.
He was according to records, severely wounded. He was transported by the cars back to MS.
One company lost nearly all its soldiers, so he was loaned out to another.
