QUITMAN, Miss., an. 4 - There was a marriage in this city at the residence of the bride's parents on the evening of Dec. 25, by Rev. W. B. Holcomb, Miss Onie Carter and Wyatt H. Pugh. Attendants were: Miss Louise Carter and Edgar Holcomb, Miss Sunshine Kirkland and Sam McNeill. Miss Carter was dressed in blue messaline (sic), with pick accessories, and Miss Kirkland in light blue crepe de chine. Mrs Harmon Hambric played the wedding march and during the ceremony rendered "Song of the Soul". The bride was gowned in her traveling suit of brown whipcord, with hat, shoes and gloves to match. She is one of Quitman's leading young ladies, a daughter of Monroe Carter, an old and prominent business man. After the marriage, which was a private family affair, the happy young couple boarded the 11:30 train for Lake Charles, La., where Mr. Pugh has a lucrative position with a leading firm.
