Energy Community

 

It is said that this area, located in the northeast of Clarke County, is names for the characteristic of its inhabitants and that it is one of the oldest in the county, although it was not placed on the map until 1861.

The legends flow around Energy.  Freeman Corley was judge and justice court was held here.  There was the Hayes’ store and John Haguewood’s store, and a grist mill.
