Mrs. J. A. Cagle
Mrs. J. A. Cagle, aged 76 years, who had been in the home for ten years to
which place she came from Copiah county, died there. Her husband died at the home (Jefferson
Davis Soldiers Home in Vicksburg, MS) three years ago and her remains were
laid besides his this morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. Carmichael officiating at the funeral services ["The Daily Herald", 6 May 1920 - Submitted by Barb Ziegenmeyer]

Laura Erwin, aged 13, died in Wesson at the residence of her father, F. B. Erwion, on March 17. Martha Erwin,
aged nearly 15 years, died at the same place on March 20. Brookhaven Ledger,

Theodore F Griffin 1903-1970
SHREVEPORT LA -- Funeral services were held for Theodore F Griffin, 67, in the chapel of the Rose-Neath Funeral Home here on Dec 31. Burial was in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Crystal Springs MS. He was a former resident of Alexandria.
He is survived by one daughter, Miss Jeannie Griffin, Alexandria; four sisters, Mrs T E Gunn, Alexandria, Mrs Marvin Hockenhull, St Louis MO, Mrs Edna Mae Cox and Miss Hazel Griffin, both of Shreveport, and his stepmother, Mrs Mattie Griffin, Shreveport.
The Rev Carl B Hall pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Shreveport, officiated at the services.

Nathaniel Hooker of Beauregard died at his home on the 8th inst. Death supposed to have been caused by injury
