Mrs. J. A. Cagle
Mrs. J. A. Cagle, aged 76 years, who had been in the home for ten years to which place she came from Copiah county, died there. Her husband died at the home (Jefferson Davis Soldiers Home in Vicksburg, MS) three years ago and her remains were laid besides his this morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. Carmichael officiating at the funeral services ["The Daily Herald", 6 May 1920 - Submitted by Barb Ziegenmeyer]



Laura Erwin

Laura Erwin, aged 13, died in Wesson at the residence of her father, F. B. Erwion, on March 17.  Martha Erwin, aged nearly 15 years, died at the same place on March 20.

Charles Hogg
We learned that Charles Hogg died in Wesson a few nights ago from the effects of drinking poisoned whiskey.

Nathaniel Hooker
Nathaniel Hooker of Beauregard died at his home on the 8th inst.  Death supposed to have been caused by injury he received in falling from a gallery.

Margaret Ella Laid
Brookhaven Ledger, Brookhaven, Mississippi, Published March 31, 1881
Margaret Ella Laid, daughter of Bartlett and Nancy Laid, died at Wesson on March 17th.  She was born 27 Oct. 1873 at Summit, where her parents then resided.


Mary Linfield
Miss Mary Linfield died at Hazelhurst, Miss. last Saturday, of typhoid fever after a lingering illness, she was the youngest daughter of the late Rev. W.E. M. Linfield.
