Tuesday evening, Sept. 5, the marriage of Miss Susie Wells to Mr. John Petty was solemnized in the presence of the relatives of both families, and of a few intimate friends, at the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Lucy Wells. The ceremony was read by Rev. J. Sproggins of the First Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Petty left immediately after the ceremony for a two weeks' stay in Chicago.
