Pinned in the Bible following the family record is a funeral notice, stating that Miss Cassie L. Griffing, age 78 years, died on April 29th, 1922, and that funeral services will be held for her at the home of Dr. M. J. Massengill. Interment will be made in the City Cemetery, Monroe, LA.

Clara Edwards Marble died in Temple, Florida, September 1916 - and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery.
An obituary of James K. Marble, age 31, is pinned in the Bible. he died April 9, 1866, in Hinds County, Mississippi. In 1860 he married Miss Susan Evins of Jefferson County, Mississippi. She died in 1861. In September 1865, he married Mrs. John Elmore, whose maiden name was Miss Olive D. Lick.
