Pecolia Thigpen 91, of the Summerland community, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Comfort Care Nursing Home in Laurel. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Old Palestine Missionary Baptist Church in the Hebron community, with burial in the church cemetery. She was a member of the Old Palestine Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and mission society worker. She was a member of Herion of Jericho. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, at Old Palestine Missionary Baptist Church. Reeves Funeral Home in Mount Olive is in charge of arrangements.
