| 1st | I give to my wife Mary P. Barringer the house and lots and outhouses where I now reside in Oxford, Mississippi and 40 acres of land 1/2 miles north of Oxford, Mississippi for and during her life. |
| 2nd | I direct that all my other Estate of every kind and description consisting of land in Grant County, Arkansas in Sec. 4 township 5 Range 13 west and of notes, bonds, certificates of stocks, cotton obligations, open accounts, monies, and everything whatsoever of value (except my household and kitchen furniture) be converted into money as speedily as possible by my executrix and that any goods on hand at my death be sold at wholesale or private sale and converted into money and that the entire amount of all ___?___ affects and property be equally divided as follows to wit: one share to my my daughter Alice, one share to my daughter Lizzie (?), one share to my wife, one share the widow and children of my deceased son Paul - the widow to have an equal part of that share with the four children of my said deceased son - the said four shares to Alice, Lizzie, My Wife, and the Widow of my Deceased Son Paul to be equal. |
| 3rd | I give my household and kitchen furniture to my wife during her life. At the death of my wife the said household & kitchen furniture and the real estate given to my wife in the first item (my house and lot in Oxford & the 40 acres of land 1/2 mile north of Oxford) shall be sold and the proceeds divided equally between my daughters Alice and Lizzie and the widow and children of my deceased son Paul & the said deceased son Paul widow and four children to have one share and the widow to have of that amount and equal with the said children - Alice to have one share and Lizzie to have one share. |
| 4th | My executors Shall have power without any order of court to Sell said land in Arkansas and the surviving executor Shall have power to Sell said land without any order of court. |
| 5th | My executors or the surviving Executor Shall have power to Sell any household furniture I may have on hand at my death, at private sale, without any order of court and so they or the surviving Executor may sell any real or personal property shall come under and be governed by the direction and provisions of the 2nd item of this Will. |
| 6th | My executors or the surviving executors Shall have power to make any settlements or compromises according to theirs, his, or her discretion in the settlement or collection of any debt due to me and also in the payment of discharge or liquidation of any claim or debt against my Estate. |
| 7th | If there should be no surviving executor of this Will at the death of my wife then the court shall appoint an administrator with the Will anexed(?) who shall have power to Sell the house & lot in Oxford and 40 acres of land and household and kitchen furniture without any order of court. |
| 8th | I appoint my wife Mary P. Barringer and Hugh A. Barr Executors of this Will and direct that they shall not be required to give any bond or security as Executors. |
