MONTICELLO

    Monticello, Miss., Jan. 20 - Miss Hattie Beal and Dr. R. L. Griffith, two popular young people among social circles here, were married Friday evening at the Methodist parsonage by Rev. H. E. Carter.

    Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Brinson, of Brookhaven, were guest last week of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Sims.

    Miss Susie Smith, of Grange, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. A. J. Pennington.

    Mr. Garrett and daughter, Miss Annette Garrett, of Arm, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Maxie Thompson recently.

    Mrs. C. Z. Ballord and son, of Robinwood, were visitors this week.

    Mrs. W. C. Mazwell and Miss Eunice Maxwell attended the marriage, in Columbia, Thursday, of Miss Jimmie Soues and Mr. Brock, Miss Maxwell being maid of honor.

    Miss Willie Kate Scott, of Crystal Springs, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. C. H. Trawick.
