Capt. John Albright
Captain John Albright, aged eighty-five, died in Marshall county recently.

Rev. Jesse H. Bottom
Rev. Jesse H. Bottom was born in Mercer Co, KY, 14 Dec 1815. His parents emigrated to Sumner Co, TN in 1818, where they remained until 1837. They then moved to Cape Girardeau Co, MO. He was there united in marriage to Miss Sophia T. Grimsley. He was licensed to preach on the Dallas Circuit, by Rev. J. R. Burk, 02 Dec 1854, and was ordained deacon in the city of St. Louis, by Rev. Bishop H. H. Kavanaugh, 14 Oct 1850. In the fall of 1865 he moved to DeSota Co, MS; and was ordained Elder in Hermando, MS, by Rev. Bishop R. Raine, 14 July 1867. He quietly fell asleep in Jesus at his home in Marshall Co, MS 25 Aug 1870, leaving a wife, two children and many friends to mourn their loss. --The above obit is from Missouri Obituaries, January 1870-1871--to June 1872. S. E. Carey
Maj. S. E. Carey, Passenger Agent of the C., St. L. & N. O. Railroad, died in New Orleans last Friday of congestion of the brain.  He had from time to time been connected with the Road since 1856.  His remains were escorted to his old home, Holly Springs, by a large number of railroad friends, and buried there last Saturday.

J.M. Jackson
The
Holly Springs Reporter learns that J. M. Jackson, formerly a citizen of Marshall County, was shot and instantly killed a few days since at Coldwater depot on the Mississippi and Tennessee Railroad.

D.A. McInnis
The wife of D. A. McInnis was killed by a storm in Marshall County recently.  The house of Mr. Morgan was also struck and destroyed, and his two sons were killed.
