Recover Stolen Stamps
Special to The Times-Picayune.
Philadelphia, Miss., Dec. 18 - Stamps to the value of $800, forming a portion of the loot in
the robbery yesterday of the postoffice and express company's safe here, were recovered to-day. The stamps
were found in an old outhouse near the edge of town toward which bloodhounds brought here by R. L. Grant of Crystal
Springs, Miss., trailed the thieves.
No arrests have been made, but it is believed that pursuers are close on the trail of the yeggmen
(sic). It is also reported that some of the money stolen had been recovered, but this lacks confirmation.
