FIRST AND SECOND MISSISSIPPI
Will Probably Be Moved to Birmingham to Be Mustered Out.
The First and Second Mississippi regiments, who are now encamped in various cities and towns in that state, will probably be moved to Birmingham to be mustered out. The government wishes to move the Mississippi troops out of that state on account of yellow fever. It is proposed to move 300 of the troops, which are stationed at Lauderdale Springs, just above Meridian, from that locality immediately. The remainder of the two regiments, about two thousand in number, it is proposed to remove out of that state early in November.
