Willie Watson, infant son of James H. and Nannie R. Watson, died in the town of Sardis on the 27th ult. This was their first born child.

December 5, 1872

The Panola Star announces the death of Garland G. Nelson of that county.

December 12, 1872

Mr. James Jackson was shot and killed by an unknown person at home about ten miles west of Batesville in Panola County.
