Jewel Foster
NEW ALBANY, MS - Miss Jewel Foster, 87, of Memphis, formerly of New Albany, retired employee for the City of Memphis
purchasing department, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday
at Collierville (Tenn.) Funeral Home with graveside services at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at New Albany (Miss.) Cemetery.
She was a member of First Evangelical Church in Memphis, where she was a former Sunday school teacher, and was
a former Sunday school teacher at Madison Heights United Methodist Church in Memphis. Miss Foster leaves two nieces,
who cared for her, Mrs. Anne Hooker and Mrs. Mattie Hill Golding, both of Memphis.

Billie B. Goodwin
ROCK HILL, NC - Miss Billie Bert Goodwin, 73 of Ft. Lawn, died Friday, December 10, 1999
at Lexington County Hospital in Columbia. Funeral is 2:00 PM Monday, December 13, 1999 at Bass Funeral Home Chapel.
Born in Union Co., Miss Goodwin was the daughter of Fletcher and Blanche Broome Goodwin. She was of the Baptist
Faith. Miss Goodwin is survived by two brothers, Phil Goodwin of Atlanta, GA and Gene Goodwin of Rock Hill, and
numerous nieces and nephews. Bass Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

NEW ALBANY, MS - Miss Tangela A. Ivy, 18, student at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, died
Monday after an automobile accident in Booneville. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church
of New Albany with burial in Glenfield Memorial Park Cemetery. United Funeral Service has charge. She was a member
of First Baptist Church of New Albany. Miss Ivy leaves her parents, Billy and Pamela Ivy, and two brothers, Tony
Ivy and Alex Ivy, all of New Albany.

Carrie F. Strawn
NEW ALBANY, MS - Miss Carrie Florence Strawn, 82, retired teacher from Dallas, died Saturday at Baptist Memorial
Hospital-Union County in New Albany. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Friendship Methodist Church with burial
in Enterprise Cemetery near New Albany. United Funeral Service has charge. Miss Strawn was a member of Tyler Street
