ATROCIOUS MURDER. - a most brutal murder was committed in Vicksburg, Miss., on the night of the 20th February, upon the person of a Mrs. Morrison, a very old lady. She was living alone in a retired part of the city, and had some money and valuables in the house, but plunder seems not ot have been the object of the murderer, as nothing whatever was disturbed. The coroner's jory returned a verdict of death by a blow with a blunt instrument in the hands of some person unknown.
