Go 6.2 miles West of Shubuta on CR 210, turn left on CR 218 and go 1.7 miles.

Road turns into Springhill Church Rd. Cemetery is on the left in a Grove of trees across pasture.

Dr. E. W. Rogers; born Jan. 17, 1865 – died Nov. 3, 1911 “Farewell” with hands

“His words were kindness,

His deeds were love,

His spirit humble,

He rests above.”

Emanuel Rogers; died Dec. 26, 1911 “Farewell” with shaking hands

“A light from our household is gone.

A voice we loved is stilled.

Sacred to the memory of Phillip M. James who was born May 5th, 1811 and died August 4th 1862

Aged 51 years and 3 months (*Note: on the 1820 census in Wayne county)

Born June 1, 1868 – died Oct. 4, 1874

William Robert Slaten; born Dec. 29, 1852 – died Nov. 4, 1901 (Masonic Emblem on headstone)

“To him we trust a place is given among the Saints with Christ in Heaven.”

Eliza Ann Gordan, wife of W. R. Slaten; born Dec. 8, 1856 – died July 5, 1904

“She was a kind and affectionate wife, a fond mother, and a friend to all.”

James Grover, son of Jesse & Julia Carter; born Aug. 30, 1884 –died Oct. 8, 1905 (marble headstone)
