Falconer Cemetery

Wayne County

Off the Shubuta Waynesboro River Road, on land belonging to Ralph Stanley behind Cecil Grahams home.

Cemetery is being kept up and has a wire hog fence around it.

Sacred to the memory of William B. Falconer.  Son of Thomas P. and Ann Mary J. Falconer.  He was born in Clarke county Ala., September 27th, 1834 and died of typhoid fever contracted while in camp at Corinth Miss, August 25th 1861.

"A young man of high mental and moral character, beloved  by all who knew him."

"Peacefully the slumbers

And bright be the flowers

That bloom o’er the grave."

 

Sacred to the memory of Thomas S. Falconer, son of Thomas P. and Ann Mary Falconer.

He was born in Clarke county in Miss. April 7th 1836 and died November 17th 1863.

‘A devoted husband, an affectionate father, a true patriot and an honorable man."

"Rest in peace, beloved one."

 

Rebecca Creagh, wife of Thomas S. Falconer, born May 6, 1839, died July 17, 1914

"Faithful to her trust even unto death."

 

Willie Abigail, dau of M.A. & E. W. C. Boynton; born Feb. 11, 1878 died May 17, 1878

"Budded on earth to bloom in heaven."

 

Sacred to the memory of Edwin A. Miller, M.D. a native of Charleston S. C. died Aug 11, 1869 aged 41 years 8 months.

 

Sacred to the memory of Jurusha Billingslay, consort of Hezekia Billingsby and sister of Genl. Wm. A. Lang, died April 30th 1849

*note:  monument is at least 4 feet tall, two inches wide.
