Ortie Wright
Ortie Wright, 93, of Eupora died Oct. 2, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare-Eupora.
Mr. Wright, a retired carpenter, was born Oct. 11, 1912, in Webster County. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Louise.
Mr. Wright began the Wright Reunion, of which he was president for 35 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Edwards of Pickwick, Tenn., and Sandy Wright of Midnight; three sons, Orville Wright of West Hampton, Mass., John Wright of North Hampton, Mass., and Jim Wright of Eupora; five sisters, Patty Christopher and Polly McClain of Mathiston, Rosemary Lewis and Faye Cantrell of Columbus, and Sally Sibley of Walthall; three brothers, Dan Wright of Eupora, and David Wright and Teddy Wright of Mathiston; and 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Doris Lovett "Doodle" Wright.
Services were Oct. 6 at Oliver Funeral Home with burial in Clarkson Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Beardain officiated.
Pallbearers were Neal Edwards, Steve Tharp, Adam Wright, Eric Wright, Jim Wright, Nathan Wright and Orville L. Wright Jr.

Robert Gates
MABEN - Robert Lee Gates, 64, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Upper Prairie Creek M.B. Church in West Point with the Rev. Gene King officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch M.B. Church Cemetery in Maben. Carter's Mortuary Services is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Cunningham Gates of Maben; two sons, Robert T. Gates of Savannah, Ga., and William J. Gates of Oxford; three daughters, Annie M. Avant and Amy Powell of Maben, and Minnie G. Powell of Oxford; six brothers, George W. Gates of Maben, Tommie L. Gates of Woodland, William Gates of Blytheville, Ark., Dossie Gates of Elkhart, Iowa, Lindsey Caldwell of St. Louis, Mo., and Frank Caldwell of Sarasota, Fla.; four sisters, Nettie L. Williams of Starkville, Annie M. Lathan of Pheba, Annie M. Cassell of Elkhart, Ind., and Ruth Helen Caldwell of Chicago; eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tylus Gates and Minnie Lee Gates; a brother, Ivery Lee Gates; and three sisters, Arma R. Smith, Minnie L. Neeley and Carrie Mays.

Pauline Biesman
MORTON GROVE, IL--Pauline Taylor Biesman, 86, a homemaker, formerly of Morton Grove, died Sept. 22 at Eupora, Miss.
of heart failure. Mrs. Biesman lived in Morton Grove for 35 year and moved to Mississippi 20 years ago. She was
a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 134.
Survivors include daughter Mary Jane Kopacek of Cary, four grandchildren, sisters Celia Burdine and Dorothy Bowles
of Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband Grover and a twin brother Paul Taylor.
Service was Sept. 26 and interment was is Spring Valley Cemetery, Webster Co. Miss. Arrangements were made by Oliver
Funeral Home, Eupora, Miss. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3304 5th St.
N., Columbus, Miss. 39701 or to Wood College, Mathiston, Miss. 39752.

EUPORA, MS - Miss Gert Box, 94, died Wednesday at Webster General Hospital in Eupora. Services will be at 11 a.m.
today at Oliver Funeral Home with burial in Sareppa Cemetery in Montgomery County. She was a member of Mt. Zion
Baptist Church. Miss Box leaves many nieces and nephews.

Winnie Love
EUPORA, MS - Miss Winnie Love, 92, died Monday at Grenada Lake Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m.
today at Oliver Funeral Home with burial in Clarkson Cemetery. Miss Love leaves a brother, Tom Love of Coffeeville,
and many nieces and nephews.

Lisa D. Medders
EUPORA, MISS. - Miss Lisa Diane Medders, 16, student at Ackerman High School, daughter of Clyde and Phyllis Medders
of Eupora, died Wednesday at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after an automobile accident. Services
will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Eupora with burial in the church cemetery. Wise Funeral
Home has charge. She also leaves two sisters, Miss Jennifer Medders and Miss Christi Medders, both of Eupora, and
her grandmothers, Mrs. Jeanette Reynolds of Lithia Springs, Ga., and Mrs. Tommie Medders of Eupora.
