Mrs. Mary Hahn Dies at Lutesville Home
Lutesville, MO--October 5, 1936--Southeast Missourian
Mrs. Mary Hahn, 77 years old, succumbed to infirmities of advanced age at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Day in Lutesville at 10:40 o'clock Saturday night. She had been in failing health for several weeks.
Funeral services were conducted today, with Rev. J. W. Miller, Methodist Church pastor, in charge. Burial was at the Deck cemetery. Women of church organizations served as pallbearers and flower bearers..
Mrs. Hahn was an active member of the church and of its Missionary Society for years.
Mrs. Hahn was born 2 miles south of Lutesville, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Lutes, pioneer couple in the county. Married to Alexander Hahn 55 years ago, they lived on a farm until 25 years ago, moving then to Lutesville. Mr. Hahn died June 10, 1929.
Of five children in the family four died when small, Mrs.. Day surviving. There are two grandsons, Charles A. and Billy Joe Day, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Paul Powell, the latter of Evansville, Ind. Mrs. Edward Grant of St. Louis is a sister and brothers are David Lutes of La Mesa, Cal.; Frank, Melvin and Adam Lutes of Lutesville, Jesse of Muncie, Ind., and Monroe and J. L. Lutes of Flat River, Mo. Jesse Lutes was expected here today and the other brothers and sister, except David Lutes, have been here recently.

John W. Henson (paper date October 10,1935)
John W. Henson, respected citizen, passed away Sunday at his home near Patton. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Mt. Carmel. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Mr. Henson was born near Patton October 18, 1872 and was 63 years, 11 months and 11 days old at the time of his death. He leaves his widow, two sons and three daughters.
