"Nat Godwin of the Ozarks.: William L. Tallman, died at his home later yesterday. Tallman was 86 years of age and had been married eleven times.
He died three days after his eleventh wife had died after a short illness. Authorities are deciding whether or not to investigate the deaths.

MRS. BESSIE BARNHART--Word has been received of the Feb. 6, 1986, death of Mrs. Bessie May Elizabeth Barnhart, 76 years old, of Sierra Vista, Ariz.
Mrs. Barnhart was born Jan. 1, 1910 at Poplar Bluff. She had been a resident of Arizona since 1979.
On May 31, 1930, she married Elbert O. Summers, of Cape Girardeau, Mo, who preceded her in death June 16, 1950.
On Aug. 22, 1951 she married Jesse J. Barnhart, of Cape Girardeau, who preceded her in death, Oct. 24, 1982.
She is survived by a daughter, Ester Summers Taylor, St. David, Ariz.; sons, Ray Summers, Overland, John Summers, Elm Springs, Ark., and Dennis Summers, San Bernadino, Calif.; stepsons, Phillip and Sam Barnhart, Cape Girardeau; brothers, Floyd Davis, Cape Girardeau and Fred Davis, California; 18 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by the Hatfield Funeral Home, Sierra Vista.

DEXTER - Ruby Lee Day, 82, of Dexter died Friday, Sept. 20, 1996, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Day had lived in Bell City for many years, and had lived in Dexter for the past eight years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bible Missionary Church of Dexter.
She married Leonard O. Rhine in 1931. He died Feb. 27, 1976. She married Beckam Day on May 30, 1987, in Dexter. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Glenn Rhine of Florissant, MO., Charles Derald Rhine of Davidsburg, Mich., and Leonard Rhine of St. Louis; six daughters, Rosa Lee McClelland and Connie Sutton, both of Little Rock, Ark., Barbara Sue Aserry of Fenton, Mo, Wanda Mae Peters of Neelyville, Glenda Fay Broaddus of Chicago, and Sherry McAnulty of Sikeston; 35 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Farris Nabors officiating. Burial will be in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.

Dorothy P. Wiley, 71, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Sept. 19, 1996, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Wiley was born Feb. 7, 1925, in Springfield, MO. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God. She enjoyed sewing and home decorating.
She married Hoy Wiley Aug. 29, 1945 in Springfield. He survives.
Other survivors include five children, Hoy Wiley, Jr., of New Castle, Colo.,Tim Wiley, Terry Wiley, Brenda Hildrich and Linda Moss, all of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren; a brother, Bob Agee of Springfield; two sisters, Maxine Smith and Mazie Deckard both of Springfield.
Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. today at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Richard Triplett officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.

DUDLEY - Raymond "Jockey" Hayes, 81, died Sept. 19, 1996, at the Dexter Memorial Hospital. He was born in Anna, Ill. on June 4, 1915.
Mr. Hayes lived most of his life in the Dudley community. He was a retired painter and interior decorator and formerly was employed by Busy B Lumber Company of Dexter. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Dudley Community Church.
Mr. Hayes was married to Alberta Thomas on Nov. 12, 1938 in Dudley. She survives. Other survivors are two sons, Gary Dale Hayes of Poplar Bluff and Donald Ray Hayes of Dexter; two daughters, Pansy Faye Bolster of Dudley, and Judity Ann Williamson of Dongola, Ill.; one brother, Carl E. Hayes of Gastonia, N.C.; and one sister, Gladys Chase of Puxico; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. T.R. "Bud" Meadows of Dudley officiating. Burial will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.

Mr. Moore was born on Nov. 6, 1944, in Kennett.
He was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff and an investigator for the State of Missouri. He was a state highway patrolman and a 32nd degree mason. He was a member of the Three Rivers Shrine Club, Poplar Bluff Lodge No. 209 and the Poplar Bluff Elks. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Vietnam.

HARVIELL - Charles T. Colter, 87, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1996 at the Cedargate nursing home in Poplar Bluff. He was born June 22, 1909 n Clay County, Ark.
Mr. Colter was a farmer and a longtime resident of Butler County. He attended the Baptist Church.
On July 30, 1941 he was married to Jennie Eilf in Bollinggram, Ohio. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard Colter of Poplar Bluff, and Charles Colter of Manchester, Mich.; one daughter, Jeanne Tubbs of Harviell; one brother, James "Bud" Colter of Fisk; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Saturday evening at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Cheryl Colter officiating. Burial will be in the Kinsey Cemetery.
