Cape Girardeau, MO--FRED ANCELL died at 4 a.m. Thursday, Dec 29, 1983 at Southeast Missouri Hospital, Cape Girardeau, where he had been a patient since Tuesday.  Ancell was born Dec. 2, 1904 in Commerce, MO.  Arrangements are incomplete at Ford and Sons Funeral Home.

Cape Girardeau, MO--O. W. BURK SERVICES--Last rites for O. W. BURK were conducted this afternoon at the Walther Funeral Home by Rev. C. E. Mount of the First Presbyterian Church.  Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Mr. Burk, 58 years old, 775 Perry Avenue, a salesman, died Saturday.  
Pallbearers were Robert Chappell, H. L. Amlingmeyer, Alvin Werner, Walker Childs, Elmer Young and Harold Grace.  --Southeast Missourian, July 22, 1957.

Cape Girardeau, MO--ARTHUR STANLEY CAREY JR., 59 years old, of Cape Girardeau. died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1990 at St. Francis Medical Center.  Arrangements will be announced later by Ford & Sons Funeral Homes.

Cape Girardeau, MO--BUFORD C. CARGLE, 91, 1721 Whitener, died Wednesday, May 22, 1991 in Oklahoma City, Okla.  Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.

Cape Girardeau, MO--BETTY E. CARLEN, 90, of 1127 Merriwether, died Thursday, March 3, 1994 at her residence.  The Ford and Sons Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete at this time.

MOREHEAD, KY -- MARIE B. CLINTON, 80, Cape Girardeau, Mo., former cafeteria director and office manager, mother of Bonnie Eaglin of Morehead, died Thursday. Services 10 a.m. Monday, St. Mary's Cathedral, Cape Girardeau. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today, Lorberg Funeral Chapel, Cape Girardeau.  --Lexington Herald-Leader (KY) - September 17, 1995

Kansas City, MO--VINCENT E. CONNOR, 83, of Cape Girardeau, MO, passed away Thursday, November 21, 1996, at the Veteran's Home in Cape Girardeau. JACKSON COX, Cape Girardeau County, MO, died June 28th at Scott's Bluff, aged 20 years (of cholera).  
(Note:  This was taken from a newspaper dated 1850, which stated, "Below we give a copy of the deaths which have been reported at Fort Laramie during this summer.  There are many deaths not reported, but it may be a melancholy gratification to friends and relatives to know of a certainty the fate of those to whom their feelings are enlisted.  We are indebted to the officers of Fort Laramie for this record.")

St. Petersburg, FL--EVELYN W. HAFER, 87, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (March 9, 1995) at home. Born in Pocahontas, Mo., she came here a month ago from St. Louis and was a retired schoolteacher. She was a Lutheran. Survivors include her husband, Clarence E.; a daughter, Mary Jo Porter, St. Petersburg; a sister, Eleanor Schramm, St. Louis; and three grandchildren. Lewis W. ALMA DEIMUND HEWITT, 90, of Tulsa, Okla., died there July 15. A memorial service was July 21 in First Lutheran Church of Tulsa. Mrs. Hewitt, a native of Pocahontas, Mo., was a longtime buyer for the Denver Dry Goods Co. Survivors include a son, Marvin of Tulsa; a brother, William Deimund of Denver; three sisters, Mena Kessler of Cairo, Ill., Marie Titmas of Kingsburg, Calif., and Gladys East of Pahoa, Hawaii; and five grandchildren.  --Rocky Mountain News (CO) - July 22, 1991

WICHITA, KS--LESTER A. KRACKE, 92, of Jackson, Mo., former Wichitan, retired Beech Aircraft Corp. sheet metal worker, died Monday, May 8, 1989. Service has been held.
Survivors: daughter-in-law, Margaret of Jackson; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

J. W. LIMBAUGH--The cholera has recently been raging fearfully at Jackson, in Cape Girardeau county, Mo., and fifty-seven have fallen victims.  Among those who died, we are sorry to see the name of J. W. LIMBAUGH, of the Southern Democrat.  (Source:  The Missouri Courier, July 1, 1852.)

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) --RUSH H. LIMBAUGH, SR., grandfather of talk show host Rush Limbaugh and a practicing lawyer at the age of 104, died Monday.  --Tulsa World (OK) - April 10, 1996

OLD CITIZEN DIED AT JACKSON--JACOB LOOS, age 71 years, died at 1 o'clock this afternoon.  He was a native of Kentucky but had lived in Cape county ever since boyhood.  He leaves three sons, Robert, Adam and Louis.  (Source:  The Cape Girardeau Weekly Republican, March 3, 1911.)

REV. J. C. MAPLE: Born in Guernsey County, Ohio, November 18, 1833; died in Cape Girardeau, Missouri October 20, 1917. Cape Girardeau, Mo--FRANCIS J. SURLET--NO INQUEST CALLED--Coroner J. F. Sigmund said today no inquest will be held in connection with the death at a hospital here Thursday morning of Francis J. Surlet, 26 years old.  Surlet died of injuries received in an automobile accident on Highway 25, a mile south of Jackson Saturday night and the death was accidental, Dr. Sigmund said.  --Southeast Missourian, March 13, 1953.
