Obit: GEORGE L. JOHNSON
  George Lee Johnson, 78, of 3936 Clark, died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital.  He was born in Middletown, Ill., and had lived here 15 years.  Mr. Johnson was a marine engineer for the Mobile Oil Company, New York, 25 years before he retired in 1961.  He was an Army veteran of World War II and a past Missouri vice-commander of the American Legion.  He was a member of the Marine Square Club Order of the New York Masonic Lodge.  He leaves his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Linn Johnson of the home.  Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Freeman Chapel; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City.  Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the chapel.  The family suggests contributions to the Kansas City chapter of the American Heart Association.

Johnson, 78, midtown Kansas City, died Dec. 12, 1990, at Saint Joseph Health Center.  Mrs. Johnson was a life long area resident.  Her husband, Gorge Johnson died in 1976.  Survivors include cousins.  Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Mount Moriah & Freeman Chapel; burial Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City.
