Obituary of S. A. Kinkead

S. A. Kinkead Dies January 29
   S. A. Kinkead of Centralia, Mo. died Saturday, Jan. 29, in Columbia Hospital in Columbia, Mo.
He was married to the former Laura Bryson, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Verdelle Kinkead, of Moberly, Mo.: one grandson. Roscoe Kinkead, of Centralia, Mo.:
two great grandchildren, and one brother Maurice Kinkead of Centralia, Mo.
He was a brother of the late Roy Kinkead of Astoria.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Jan. 31, at Mentor
Funeral Home in Centralia, Mo, with burial in the City Cemetery.
Attending the funeral services from here were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kinkead, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Ellis, Leann and Georgeanglia.

  Mrs. Mildred L. Klingler, 68, of 6200 Manning, Raytown, died Friday at the Research Medical Center.  She was born in Lenexa and was a lifelong area resident.  She retired in 1961 after working 34 years in the lithograph department of the Hallmark Card Company.  She was a member of Hallmark's 25 year club, the Raytown Gaden Club and the Dogwood Garden Club, Sunrise Beach, MO.  She was a member of the Cruiser's Club.  She was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church.  She leaves her husband, Ransom A. Klingler of the home; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Genevieve Reeves, Lenexa, and Mrs. Wanda Buckles, Topeka; a sister Mrs. Marjorie Johnson, 3036 Clark; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hinton Chapel, Raytown; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The rosary will be said at 7 o'clock tonight at the chapel, where friends may call from 7 to 9 o'clock tonight.  The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.


An Indicted Kansas City Election Judge Takes Poison to Drown His Troubles
Kansas City, Mo., Oct. 10 – Fred G. Knodle, one of the indicted election judges in the Second Ward last fall, committed suicide by taking poison last night in a room at the rear of Justice of the Peace O. W. Krueger’s drug store at 254 West Fourth street. Troubles which had their source in his participation in the election frauds were responsible for the act. He was a widower and left four small children.
