T. J. Patten, aged 36 years, died at his late residence, 109 West Tenth street, yesterday of phthisis.  The funeral takes place at Elmwood cemetery this afternoon.

Obit: Marie Picone, 85, born in Osawatomie, KS, passed away January 11, 2006.  She is survived by her son, Jack Vest and his wife, Bozena; granddaughter, Annette Novak and her husband Steve; brother, Raymond "Happy" Johnson and his wife Margaret; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2006, at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel.  Friends may call from 9-10 a.m., at the chapel prior to the service.  Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions "In Memory of Marie Picone" to Children's Tumor Foundation, 95 Pine St., 16th Floor, New York, NY 10005.


Mrs. S. J. Porter, for over twenty years a resident of this city, died at the residence of her brother, Mr. T. A. Haley, 169 West Tenth street, yesterday, of consumption. 
The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon.
