This area is situated at the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers (Kaw Point);
which, straddle the state border between Missouri and Kansas.
Old newspapers list it as either Kansas City, Missouri or Kansas City, Kansas.

West Point, Jackson County, Missouri
158 W. N. W. Jefferson City 1,084 W
Situated on the West line of the State about 6 miles south of the Missouri River.
It contains about 300 inhabitants.
