Charles Calvin Smith Familty
Charles Calvin Smith was born in, Davidson County, Tennessee on May 10, 1866.
He grew up in Hamilton County, Tennessee, with his mother, Nancy J. Smith.
No establish information concerning Nancy’s marriage status, or name of Charles father.
Charles and Sarah Sophina Foust, daughter of John and Minerva Harper Foust, were married in Daisy, Tennessee, December 6, 1885.
In 1888 they were in Fredonia, Caldwell County, Kentucky, for the birth of a son, Charles Everett (per 1917 Draft Registration Card for Everett).
In 1890 they were in Marion, Crittenden County, Kentucky, for the birth of a son, Calvin Cluster (per 1917 Draft Registration Card for Calvin).
In 1892 they were in Salem, Livingston County, Kentucky for the birth of a son, Jesse Wrath P. (per 1917 Draft Registration Card for Jesse).
In 1895 were somewhere in Missouri, according to census information for the birth of a daughter Sarah Louisa Jane (Mary) and son, Alexander E. in 1897.
In 1900 they were in St. Michael, Dist 68, Fredericktown (West Half), Madison County, Missouri, with children: Charles Everett, Calvin Cluster, Jesse Wrath P., Sarah Louisa Jane (Mary), and Alexander E..
While living in Madison County, 4 more children were born: Tultie, Elzie, Ada Belle and Tucker.
Also living in Madison County,on 1900 census, is John and Minerva Harper Foust, Sarah’s parents; Emsly David Foust and family (Sarah’s brother).
According to information found, Sarah’s parents and siblings must have accompanied them from Tennessee, thru Kentucky, where Emsly David was married, and his first child, Emzy Malton was born in 1892, in Salem, Livingston County, Kentucky.
Emsley and family along with Minervaare found on the 1910 census, in Pineville, McDonald County, Missouri. Minerva was listed as a widow and not been able to find where John Foust is buried. Emsley and family go on to Gage County, Nebraska, then to California.
In 1910 Charles and Sarah were in Benton Township, Douglas County, Missouri, with children:
Charles Everett, Calvin Cluster, Jesse P. Wrath, Sarah Louisa Jane, Alexander E., Tultie, Ada Belle Mary Lena and Tucker. Elzie Boyd is not listed on the census.
It also states that Sarah had twelve children and nine of them are now living. There is no account for the other three children.
Charles Everett marries Julia Ann Clinkingbeard, November 27, 1910
Calvin Cluster marries Grace Seley, August 25, 1913 later marries, unknown.
Alexander E. marries Bessie (Unknown) 1916 and later Margaret (Unknown)
Sara Louisa marries Morgen Eugene Sommers, April 11, 1913, later marries Eli Franklin Pete Muncie.
In 1920 Charles and Sarah are still in Benton Township, Douglas County, Missouri with children: Tultie, Ada Bell, and L. Boyd (Elzie Boyd).
Jesse Wrath marries Cora Alice Jennings Clark – they are living in the home with Charles and Sarah in 1920 census
Placed Charles and Sarah in Odell, Gage County, Nebraska, September 1, 1922, on a Warranty Deed, selling their property: Lot number fourteen (14) in block number three (3) in Central Subdivision to the City of Ava, Douglas County, Missouri according to the plat thereof, duly recorded in the office of the recorder of deeds for said county. To Charles Everett and Julia Smith, Gage County, Nebraska.
Sarah and Morgen Sommers are living in Odell, Gage County, Nebraska
Ada Bell marries Earnest Finch and is also living in Beatrice, Gage County, Nebraska
Charles and Sarah along with children: Tultie and Elzie Boyd are found on the Marysville, Marshall County, Kansas for the 1925 State census.
Charles and Sarah are found in 1930 census in Atchison, Atchison County, Kansas census with children: Tultie and Elzie Boyd. They are living on Gillispie Street. They supposedly moved there in 1926.
Elzie Boyd marries Margarete Megonnigil, Atchison, Kansas, May 1931
Tultie, found no information that he ever married.
Charles died in 1952 while living in Compton, California with family members, and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Atchison, Kansas.
Sarah dies in 1940 in Atchison County, Atchison, Kansas and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Charles Everett died 1954 in San Bernardino, California and is buried at Mt. View Cemetery, San Bernardino, California.
Calvin Cluster died 1961 in Kansas City and is buried at Moriah Cemetery, Jackson County, Kansas City, Missouri..
Jesse Wrath P. died 1960 in Long Beach California and is buried at Westminister Memorial Park, Westminister, California.
Sarah Lee Louisa Jane (Mary) died in 1990 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Alexander E. Smith died 1955 in Los Angeles, California.
Tultie “King Tut” died 1961 Atchison, Kansas and is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Atchison, Kansas..
Ada Belle Mary Lena died 1979 in Beatrice Nebraska, and is buried at Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice, Nebraska.
Elzie Boyd died 1948 in Los Angeles, California and is buried at Westminister Memorial Park, Westminister, California
