Virgie Mae Akins died at her home on March 1, 1991.
She was the daughter of Howard Cleveland and Minnie Ruth Williams LaVallee
She married  Loyal Akins who proceeded her in death. They were the parents of Loyal Ray Akins, Robert Lee Akins, Judy Ann Higgerson, husband Howard Higgerson, Tina Akins, Debra Akins, Ricky Akins and Steve Akins.
The service was held at Richards Funeral Chapel by Rev Harold Henderson . Place of internment, Mounds Cemetery, Lilbourn MO

MOREHOUSE, Mo. -- Thomas E. Alford, 80, of Morehouse died Monday, May 12, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born June 30, 1922, in Macrae, Ark., son of Thomas Andrew and Mary Elizabeth Sanders Alford. He and Viola McIntyre were married March 2, 1946, in Sikeston.
Alford was a press operator at Potlatch 22 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Linda Ellison of Sikeston, Mary Crone of Morley, Mo., Barbara Evans of Matthews; a brother, Marion Alford of Port Arthur, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Smith of St. Louis, Ola Mae Hutchinson of Russellville, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a sister, three half brothers and three half sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery.
