Gemeinhardt, William A., 75 of Matthews, died at 5:15
a.m. today at Missouri Delta Community Hospital. following a brief illness.
He was born on Sept. 24, 1901 in Wittenberg to the late Martin and Dora Fiehler
Gemeinhardt.
After moving to Matthews area in 1922, he purchased and became president of the
W.A. Gemeinhardt Seed Company in Matthews, was President of Gemeinhardt Farms.
On June 27, 1925 he married the former Della Reisenbichler, who survives.
In 1946 he organized Christ Lutheran Church in Matthews , he was a 50 year
member of the Lutheran Laymen's League. He also organized a Boy Scout Troop
in Matthew. In 1956 he was elected to the board of directors of Missouri Delta
Community Hospital was a member at his death.
Other survivors included; one son, Armand Gemeinhardt of Matthews; daughter,
Mrs. Neva Dell Anderson of Hannibal; two brothers, E.R. Gemeinhardt of Bell City
& R.C. Gemeinhardt of Jackson; sister, Mrs. Hattie Schmidt of Pocahontas, Mo;
four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Home after noon Wednesday services are
to be at 10:30 am. Thursday at Nunnelee Chapel , the Rev Kenneth Sievers,
pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church in Sikeston & Christ Lutheran Church in
Matthews, Assisted by Rev. Earl Weis, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church of
Jackson.
Burial will follow in Memorial park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau .

Gentry, Dorothy Waters. died Sep. 14 1994 at Millouri
Delta Hospital in Sikeston.
She was born Nov. 11, 1908 in Matthews to Dr James Franllin Waters, and Dora
Harperl On Sep 30, 1925 in Sikeston , she married Bert Gentry.
Dortothy was a longtime volunteer at Missouri delta Hospital.
She was proceeded in death by three brothers, Reece, Guy Henry, and Fitzhugh
Lee, four sisters, Dimple Daisy, Maggie, Florine Francis and Della Dora , two
daughters, Mary Margater and Dortohy sue. Survivors include her husband, Bery
Gentry of Sikeston, two daughters, Jacqueline Wyrick of St. Louis and Ann
Dumay of Leawood, Kansas one sone Edward Gentry of St. Louis, foru
grandchildren and four great- grandchildres, Services were held at Nunnelee
Chapel with
burial in Memorial Park cemetary.
