Littrell Arthur Lee ; 77 a resident of Austin, Texas formerly of New Madrid, died Friday, January 6 1989 at Seton's Medical center in Austin, Texas.
He was born february 16, 1911, to the late J.C.and Donie Ezell Littrell. He lived in Austin for the last 16 years, where he worked for Environquip for 10 years,
retiring on August 2, 1985, On December 23, 1933, in New Madrid, he married Florence Horton, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include one daughter, Joyce Lukrofka of San Diego, Calif.; one son, Donald Wayne Littrell of Lake Worth, Fla; five sisters, Clera Beeson,
Auvine Lynx Wiler, Lorene Thompson, and Rachel thompson, all of Sikeston, and Vela Noland of Pensacola Fla; Three grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded him in death

Funeral services will be conducted today, Wednesday, Jan 11, at 1p.m. at Richards Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Lathum, pastor of the New Madrid Methodist
Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid with Richards Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Edmond H LaVallee died at his home in the city of New Madrid at 1 o'clock PM, Monday January 8 1917 aged 72 yrs, 8 MO, 14 days. He was a native of this city , descended from early pioneer families. His father was Dr Edmond and his grandfather was Jean Nicolas LaVallee who for a time was Commandant of the Spanish post at New Madrid, he was also a grandson Of Judge Robert Goah Watson. Mr LaVallee married a daughter of Dr John Martin about 50 years ago and he is survived by his widow and daughters, Mrs Nellie Blair, husband Ed Blair of Memphis TN, Mrs Carrie Robinson, husband Benjamin Scott Robinson of Caruthersville,  Mrs Lillie Shields, husband George Shields, Misses May and Edna LaVallee, Howard and Welton (Tallie) LaVallee. The funeral services were held in the family home by Rev. Linn Haw, after which the remains were conveyed to the Hunter Dawson Cemetery and was laid to rest with his family  who proceeded in in death. contributed by: Sue src#2

Howard Cleveland LaVallee dead at 55. Howard was about 1883 , a son of Edmond LaVallee and Carrie Martin LaVallee. He was married to Minnie Ruth Williams who preceded him in death, also they had a son Howard that preceded them in death. He left three children, Welton (Jake) LaVallee, Virgie Mae LaVallee, and Lloyd Diggs LaVallee. RITES HELD MONDAY FOR TALLIE LAVALLEE, a life long resident succumbs At home Friday
 
Funeral services were held at the family home at 307 Kingshighway, New Madrid, at 2:30 Monday afternoon for Welton O LaVallee, a well know plumber, who died suddenly the proceeding Friday afternoon.
Rev. J R Bullington, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated at the rites and burial was made at Mounds Cemetery with Richards funeral service in charge.
Pall bearers were Cal Cravens, Clement Cravens, Tommy Robinson, Loyal Akins,Vincent H Rost and Charles Grossman.
Mr LaVallee had been fishing that afternoon, on returning home he complained of a sever headache, he collapsed and died immediately.
His death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrageTallie was born in New Madrid on Aug. 8, 1888, a son of the late Edmond and Caroline LaVallee
and at the time of his death was 65 years, 9 months and 13 days.
He was married to Miss Catherine Burke on April 16, 1921 and no children ere born to this union. For more than 3thirty years he owned and
operated a plumbing and sheet metal business in New Madrid. He was progressively retiring and was only doing small jobs for his friends and family.
Besides his widow he is survived by four sisters, Mrs Nelle Blair, Mrs Carrie Robinson, Mrs Edna Pangle and Mrs Mae Boyer all of New Madrid.
