MINNIE KNICKERBOCKER CEMETERY
aka Miller Cemetery
Richmond Township
Ray County, Missouri
Township 54, Range 28, Section 34
Minnie O. Knickerbocker died October 22, 1883 at the age of 11 months and 28 days.
Norma Delene Pierce and Rita Jenine Bacon (daughters of Marvin Parker) grew up close to Minnie's grave and they would visit the grave often as children. They shared their story with the Ray County Genealogical Association and the lyrics to the song they wrote The Ballad of Minnie O. Knickerbocker.
Minnie may be buried in a field all alone, but the Parker girls have not forgotten her and as of 2008 Minnie is still on their minds.
