Oran, Mo--LITTLE MORDIE DYER,
aged six years, died at the home of his parents Saturday Nov. 30 after
an illness of twelve days. Mordie was a child whom to know was to
love, he was a favorite among his playmates and his bright happy little
face always brought sunshine to those about him. He will be
missed from his place at school and we know that there is a vacant
place left at the house that can never be filled. Our hearts are
filled with sympathy for those to whom Mordie was so dear, but words of
human sympathy are insufficient at such an hour as this. May He
that doeth all things well bind up the broken cords. The funeral
services were held at the Baptist Church in Oran and the remains wee
laid to rest in the Friend Cemetery. --Scott County Citizen, Dec
6, 1907.
