Ann Caroline Kerlagon
Mrs. Ann Caroline (Carrie) Kerlagon, daughter of the late Thomas
Aubuchon and Cora Carrow Aubuchon, was born on December 28, 1895 at French Village and passed away on Thursday,
January 22, 1970 at Thomas Dell Memorial Home, Farmington. She was aged 74 years, 24 days at the time of her death.
On October 25, 1926 she was united in marriage to Fred J. Kerlagon who preceded her in death on August 15, 1934.
To this union two children were born. A daughter, Helen Marie passed away at the age of two years.
Mrs. Kerlagon is survived by one son, Joe Kerlagon and his wife of Festus; four grandchildren; Jeff, Dan,
Diane and Kim Kerlagon; one brother, J. Smith Aubuchon of Farmington. She was preceded in death by one
brother, Willard Aubuchon of Arizona and one half-brother, Lee Aubuchon of Ste Genevieve. Funeral services
were held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, Jan. 24, at St Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Jerome
Buchbeit officiating. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service.

Bernice Kerlagon
Bernice Kerlagon, 74, formerly of Desloge, died Sept. 24, at
Winfield, Ill. She was born Oct. 21, 1908 in St. Francois County to the late Frederick and Anna Cruncleton Holmes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest David Kerlagon. Mrs. Kerlagon was a member of the Cantwell Baptist
Church and the Eastern Star Pomegranate Chapter, St. Louis. She is survived by two sons; Harold Kerlagon, of Wheaton,
Ill., and Charles Kerlagon, of St. Louis; two sisters, Mary Cunningham, of Bonne Terre and Hazel Mitchell, of Farmington;
on brother, Raymond Holmes, of Farmington; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Local arrangements are under
the direction of C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Desloge. There will be no visitation at the chapel. Services will be 11 a.m.
Tuesday at the Cantwell Baptist Church with Rev. Edwin Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Marvin Chapel Cemetery.
If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cantwell Baptist Church.

Catherine Kerlagon
Deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Mrs. Catherine Kerlagon,
Bonne Terre. She was the widow of the late Alvin Kerlagon and mother of Lynn Kerlagon, Bonne Terre. She was loved by
her family and many friends and will be sad missed by all. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Boyer's Chapel,
Bonne Terre. Rev. Herbert Long of Congregational Church officiated with Burial in Bonne Terre Cemetery. May it comfort
you to know your many friends share your great sorrow. Many relatives were called here from Indiana, St. Louis and
elsewhere due to the passing of Mrs. Kerlagon.

Dr. Cyrus C. Kerlagon
Dr. Cyrus C. Kerlagon passed away at the
Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis from an operation for appendicitis on Jan. 30th.
Dr. Kerlagon was the son of the late James E. and Mary A. Kerlagon. He was born in Ste.
Genevieve County, Mo., Aug. 19, 1855, afterwards moving to St. Francois County. Attending
the St. Louis Medical College, he came out as a physician in 1883, locating in Zeil, Ste.
Genevieve County. In August 1885, he was married to Miss Lena Biel, of Pilto Knob, Mo.
In 1886 he moved to Belleview, Iron County. About twelve years ago he came from there
to Bismarck where he remained until his death. He is survived by his wife and also one
son, Clarence C. Kerlagon, of Victoria, Texas; two brothers, Zeno and Monroe, of Route
One, Bonne Terre, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Ada Thurman of Route Two, Farmington, and Mrs.
Kate Morris, Mrs. Cora Thurman and Mrs. Martena AuBuchon, all of Bonne Terre. Dr.
Kerlagon was 73 years, five months and 11 days old when he passed away. He had been a
member of the Baptist Church and the Masonic Order for a number of years. Funeral
services were held at the Bismarck Baptist Church on Friday afternoon, February 1st,
at 2 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. Shell. After church services the Masons took charge of
the body and laid it to rest in the Maconic Cemetery at Bismarck.

James M. Kerlagon
Monroe Kerlagon, of Farmington, a former resident of Route One,
passed away at the Bonne Terre Hospital May 5. Mr. Kerlagon had not been well since he suffered a stroke about a year ago.
The body lay in state at the Cozean Funeral Home in Farmington and funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church,
there, Saturday afternoon. Interment was made in the Parkview Cemetery. James Monroe Kerlagon, son of the late James E.
and Mary Ann Palmer Kerlagon, was born near French Village, September 3, 1875. He was the youngest of 13 children, all
preceding him in death. On. May 14, 1901, he was united in marriage to Florence Emma Thurman who survives with five children,
Elmer and Lee Kerlagon, Mary (Mrs. Louis) Steger, Alma (Mrs. Bethel) Jones and Mary (Mrs. Fred) Reed. Three children died in
infancy. He also leaves four grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Mr. and Mrs. Kerlagon lived on Route one until
eight years ago when he retired from farming and they moved to Farmington. He united with the Three Rivers Baptist Church in
1927, moved his membership to the Fairview Baptist Church and transferred to the First Baptist Church when they moved to Farmington.

Joe Fred Kerlagon
Joe Fred Kerlagon, 59, Festus, died Wednesday, May 29, in St. Louis.
He was born June 14, 1931, in Farmington, the son of the late Fred and Ann C. (nee Aubuchon) Kerlagon. He is survived
by two sons, Dan Kerlagon, Mapaville, and Jeff Kerlagon, Hayword, Calif.; two daughters, Diane M. Moore, Festus, and Kim
Kerlagon, Festus; and one granddaughter. He was a bricklayer and mason. He was a member of the Church of Our Lady in
Festus; Elks Lodge 1721; and Bricklayers Union Local 1. Arrangements were by Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Funeral
services will be held Saturday, June 1, at the Church of Our Lady in Festus with Fr. John Ditenhafer officiating.
Burial will be in Sacred Heat Cemetery in Crystal City. In Lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the
Mapaville State School for the Handicapped.

Lena Biel Kerlagon
Mrs. Lena Kerlagon passed away at the St. Louis hospital on Thursday,
October 9th, following an illness of complications. Lena Biel Kerlagon was born at Pilot Knob on August 7, 1861 and died
on October 9, 1952 at the age of 91 years, two months and two days. She was married to Dr. Cyrus C. Kerlagon on August 18,
1885. He passed away on January 29, 1929 having been practicing medicine in Bismarck for many years. Except for brief periods,
Mrs. Kerlagon continued residing there until her recent illness necessicitated her removal to St. Louis by ambulance.
Mrs. Kerlagon was a devout member of the First Baptist Church in Bismarck. She was very active in both Sunday School and
church services. Preceding Mrs. Kerlagon in death was her husband, one sister, Mrs. Minnie B. Scheder and three brothers,
Charles, Fred and William Biel. Those left to mourn her passing are one son, Clarence C. of Victoria, Texas, three granddaughters,
a great-granddaughter, four great-grandsons, a brother-in-law and four sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Kerlagon and
Mrs. Cora Thurman of Farmington, and Mrs. Zeno Kerlagon and Mrs. Lusetta Ward of St. Louis, a number of nieces and nephews
including Mrs. John Poston, Miss Bernice AuBuchon and Alvin Kerlagon of Bonne Terre, Mrs. Raymond Holmes and Mrs. M. T. Horn
of Desloge, other relatives and a host of friends. The body was brought to Bismarck where it lay in state at Shipman and Sons
Funeral Home until Saturday afternoon at two o'clock when final rites were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Reginald Washington,
of the First Baptist Church. Interment was made in the Masonic Cemetery.

Luther E. Key
Luther E. Key, who resided on a farm
west of Bismarck, passed away at his home Tuesday, August 17, 1965, at the age of 70
years, 6 months, and 12 days. The deceased was born of the late Louis Preston Key and
Louise Jane Bridgewater Key, being born in Keysville, Mo. Besides his parents, he was
preceded in death by three brothers. Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist
Church of Bismarck this Thursday afternoon with the services being conducted by S. L. Speer,
with interment in the Big River Cemetery. Funeral directions by Shipman & Sons of Bismarck.
Surviving are the following children; Jacklyn Horton of Sand Spring, Okla.; Martha Hedgeders of
Cleveland, Ohio; Luther Key of Bismarck; Donald Key of Bonne Terre, Landon Key of Higginsville,
Mo.; Arthur Key and Elroy Key of Warrensburg, Mo. One sister, Mrs. Isabelle Hunt of St. Louis.
Four brothers, Landon Key of Steelville, Daly Key of St. Louis, Bland Key of Iron Mountain and
Brian Key of Bismarck. Also eight grandchildren. The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian
Church of Caledonia.

Charles Jasper King
Charles Jasper King, of Bismarck, was born March 8, 1907 at Caledonia,
Mo., a son of the late Irvin Jasper King and Bertie Palmer King. He passed
away February 4, 1978 in St. Louis County, as a result of and automobile
accident at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 27 days. He was united in
marriage to Elvia Bergner in Potosi on June 2, 1936 and seven children were
born to this union. Mr. King was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosie
Horne, Katie Bergner and Ruth King; two brothers, Guy and Russell King.
Those relatives who survive him are: his devoted wife, Elvia King of
Bismarck; five sons: Charles M. of Potosi; Richard I. of San Diego,
California; L. Leo of West Alton, Mo.; John D. of Pacific and James D. of
the home; two daughters, Jenny (Mrs. Chester Gargus) of Leslie; Dorothy
Bates of Bismarck; three sisters: Alice Mayfield of Potosi: Daisy Litton of
De Soto and Clara Garner of High Ridge; one brother, William King of
Armstrong, Mo.; 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and
many relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m.
Monday, February 6 at Sparks Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Bill Warden and Rev.
Bill Snell officiating. Interment was in the Mitchell Cemetery at Leadwood
with all arrangements made by the Britton Bros. (Sparks) Funeral Home of
Potosi.

Blanche Lee Knight
Blanche L. Knight, 84, of Bismarck died
Aug. 28, in St. Louis. She was born Jan. 30, 1904 in Belleview Valley, daughter of the
late Samuel and Mary Cottrell Palmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Evert Lee
Knight; four brothers, three sisters, and one great-grandchild. She is survived by two
sons, Samuel Loren Knight of Bismarck and Junior Evert Knight of De Soto; two daughters,
Alma Jean McLane of Bismarck and Hilda Bernice Allen of St. Louis; two brothers, Glen
Palmer of Okemah, Okla., and Les Palmer of El Paso, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 19
great-grandchildren. Funeral services were this afternoon at the First Baptist Church
of Bismarck with Rev. Dennis Walker officiating. Burial was in the Red Creek Cemetery
at Marble Creek under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home of Bismarch.

Farmington-Harry Jackson Lunsford of Farmington died August 14,2001.
He was born April 26, 1826 to the late Morgan and Effie (Wampler) Lunsford. He was also
preceded in death by three infant
daughters, two brothers, and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor (Benton) Lunsford: two sons, Mike and Jim: two daughters, Jane Hayes and Judith Clubb: a
brother, Rev. George Lunsford: 10 grandchildren: and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Cozean Memorial Chapel, Thursday, August 16 at 2 p.m. officiated by Rev. William Rawson and
Rev. Wayne Kean. Burial at Little Vine Cemetery.

Mrs. Maudie L. Moore of 203 Bryan Street, Flat River, was born on
November 8, 1887 in Arcadia and passed away on Friday, January 30, 1970, at Bonne Terre Hospital. She was the daughter
of the late Andrew Elliott Sherrill and Lydia Jane Usher Sherrill. She was aged 82 years, two months and 22 days at
the time of her death. Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, John Moore of Flat River; one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Kirk
of Rolla; a daughter-in-law, Ann Moore of Flat River; five step-children; Mrs. John McCoy, Farmington; Mrs. Denver Clubb,
Arlington, Va.; Earldean Moore, Springfield, Ill.; Rayford Moore and Mrs. Barney Elvins, both of Elvins; one sister, Mrs.
Bertha Gaston of Ste. Genevieve; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Chapel services were held at 3 o'clock
Sunday afternoon at Spark's Funeral Home with the Rev. Owen Sherrill officiating. Interment was in St. Francois Memorial

CHESTERFIELD — Edna Morgan, 75, of Chesterfield, formerly
of this area, passed away July 19, 2009 at Surrey Place,
Chesterfield, Mo. Edna Morgan was born Sept. 8, 1933 at
Flat River Mo.
She was a member of West County Assembly of God Church.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Harold Buxton and Kathleen
‘Waters’ Buxton; two bothers, Eugene Buxton and Bobby
Buxton; one sister, Glenda Stoneking.
Survived by: Husband, Lloyd Ralph Morgan of Chesterfield,
Mo.; two brothers, Finis Buxton of Libertyville, Mo., and
Darrell Buxton and wife Mary Lou of Desloge; four nieces,
Debbie Suda, Renee Sherrill, Laurie McAdams, Kate Seitz;
eight nephews, Mike, Chris, Joe, Clay, Kenny, Joey, Mark,
David. Numerous great nieces, nephews, one great-great
nephew, and friends survive.
Visitation will be at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home after 12
noon Thursday. Services for Edna Morgan will be Thursday 1
p.m. at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with Ed Bennett
officiating. Burial will be at the Parkview Cemetery,
Farmington, Mo.
