Grace Redden Name of Deceased: Grace Redden Submitters Name: A Volunteer
Obit: Mrs. Grace Redden was born on 30 May, 1884 in Clark County,
Illinois and died 11 February, 1973. being aged 88 years 8 months and 11
days. She was a daughter of the late Calvin Wells and Mary Ann Sweet Wells.
Mrs. Redden had lived in Fredericktown but had formerly been a resident
of Farmington. She was united in marriage to P. O. Redden, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by several grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at one O'clock on Tuesday afternoon in the
Chapel at Miller's Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Hartenberger. Internment was in Parkview Cemetery with Miller service.
Alice Rickmar
Alice Rickmar, 86, Farmington, was born Sept. 16, 1891, in St. Francois
County and died Nov. 15 1977, at Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital. She
was a daughter of the late Franklin and Rosa Green Sago.
Surviving are: two sons, Albert Rickmar, Bismarck, and Orville Rickmar,
Troy; four daughters, Juanita (Mrs. Robert) Covington, St. Louis, Thelma
(Mrs. Bill) Glenn, Desloge, Bernice (Mrs. Don) Hankins, Farmington, and
Shirley (Mrs. Joe) Brewer, Sheridan, Ark.; two sister, Mary Lipkings,
Ogden, Utah, and Dorothy Coulter, Fredericktown; 18 grandchildren; and
24 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rickmar is in state at Shipman and Sons Funeral Home in Bismarck.
Chapel services are scheduled for 2 p. m. Friday with the Rev. Dennis
Crader officiating.
Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery.

Artemissa Clementine (Henson) Rickmar
Clementine Rickmar nee Henson was born at Arcadia, Mo., Sept. 5, 1856, and died at Bismarck, Mo., Jan. 26, 1928, aged 71 years, 4 months, 21 days.
At the age of 23 she was married to John Rickmar of near Fredericktown, Mo. They moved to Bismarck 22 years ago.
To this union 7 children were born, all of whom survive. They are: Three boys, Frank and Henry of Bismarck and Gilbert of St. Louis; four girls:
Mrs. Bertha Fesnook of East St. Louis, Ill., Mrs. Rosa Bayless of Desloge, Mo., Mrs. Nettie Strickland and Mrs. Jennie Abel of Bismarck. She also
leaves one sister, Mrs. Narcissa Sutton of Chloride, Mo.; 27 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and a host of friends to
mourne her going.
Sister Rickmar had been in poor health all her life, but had been bedfast since Nov. 1st of last year.
She was converted and joined the Baptist church several years ago and moved her membership to the Bismarck church Dec. 21, 1913.
Always a kind and loving wife and mother, she felt her duty toward her family and was more interested in their care and welfare
than anything else in this life.
Her many friends deeply sympathize with the loved ones at her going from us.

DOLLIE E. RICKMAR
BISMARCK -- Dollie Rickmar, 80, of Bismarck, passed away March 10, 2005, in St. Louis. She was born January 11, 1925, in
Ellington, daughter of the late William and Mamie Allison Ellis. Also preceding her in death was her husband Orville Rickmar,
daughter Amy Rickmar, grandson Michael Parker, two sisters, Maude Sheeley and Marie Bain.
She is survived by one son Larry Rickmar of Bismarck; five daughters, Rosalie Barnett (Jim) of Mount Sterling, Ill., Sandra
Nitsch (Charles) of St. Louis, Rhonda Rickmar of Bismarck, Melanie Rickmar of Bismarck, Laura Rickmar (Mike McLane) of Bismarck;
five sisters, Louise Rickmar (Albert) of Bismarck, Eloise Winfrey (Gene) of Wright City, Lucy Love of Bismarck, Betty Mayberry of
Bismarck, Rosalie Chatman (Leroy) of Hillsboro; two brothers; Harry Ellis of Bismarck, Archie Ellis (Hazel) of St. Louis. Seventeen
grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Shipman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday [March 14, 2005] at the Shipman
Chapel. Burial will be in the Bismarck I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Frank Joshua Rickmar
Frank J. Rickmar passed away at the
Missouri Pacific Hospital in St. Louis on Thursday morning, April 3, 1952, shortly after
his removal to the hospital from his home in Bismarck by the Shipman Ambulance Service.
His death occurred at 6 o'clock from a heart attack.
Frank J. Rickmar was born at Granteville, Mo., on June 22, 1886, and was aged 65 years 9 months and
11 days. He was united in marriage to Alice Sago on November 15, 1914, and to this union five children
were born. For more than 29 years he was employed at the roundhouse in Bismarck for the Missouri Pacific Lines.
Funeral services were held at two o'clock on Sunday afternoon, April 6th, from the First Baptist Church
in Bismarck, conducted by Rev. H. E. Jenkins, pastor of the Assembly of God Church. Interment was in the
Masonic cemetery at Bismarck with the Shipman Service in charge.
Surviving are his widow and five children, Mrs. Juanita Covington, Mrs. Bernice Elders, Thelma Rickmar and
Orville Rickmar of St. Louis and Sgt. Albert Rickmar of Sumpter, S.C. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Nettie
Strickland of Holden, Mo., Mrs. Jane Abel of St. Louis, Mrs. Bertha Fosnoch of East St. Louis and one brother,
Henry Rickmar of Bismarck, and an adopted niece, Shirley Rickmar of Bismarck, besides six grandchildren.

IRON MOUNTAIN — Joan Elizabeth Rickmar, 53,
of Iron Mt., passed away on January 5, 2008, at her home. She was born on July 12, 1954, in St. Louis. She is preceded
in death by her parents, and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Ron Rickmar of Iron Mt.; three sons: Tracy
Rickmar of Park Hills, Ron Rickmar Jr., of Washington State, and Clifford Rickmar of Park Hills; one daughter, Cindy Hobbs
of Iowa, two half-brothers; two sisters; special friend, Tammy Moore; eleven grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other family.

John Rickmar
BISMARCK - John Rickmar, 73, of Bismarck, passed away
November 11, 2005 in Desloge. He was born November 17, 1931 in Bismarck, son of the late Henry and Mabel Roach Rickmar.
Also preceding in death by half sister Ihole Colt.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Young and husband Darrell of Bismarck, one sister Betty Kennon of Bismarck, one grandaughter
Janette Young, one great-grandaughter Hannah Pendelton both of Bismarck, four nephews, other family and friends.
John was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the Bismarck First Baptist Church, Bismarck Masonic Lodge #41 AF&AM, worked for
Hanna Mining, Amex Lead and West Lake Quarries.
Visitation was Sunday evening at Shipman Funeral Home with Masonic Services at 7 p.m. Funeral Services today at 11 a.m. at the
Shipman Chapel. Burial will be in the Bismarck I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the local food pantry's and Ministorial Alliance.

ST. LOUIS - Kenneth Rickmar, 76, of
St. Louis, passed away Sept. 17, 2000, in St. Louis. He was born Dec. 25, 1923, in St. Louis, to the late Gilbert and Frieda Rickmar.
Survived by one sister, Gladys Gilbert of Granite City, Illinois.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 19 in the Coplin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Helen Stumpe officiating.
Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Bismarck.

Everett Younger Rion
Everett Younger Rion Funeral Was Friday.
Everett Younger Rion was born June 28, 1901, the son of John D. Rion and Maude Crawford Rion of Farmington. He
died suddenly at his residence in St. Louis September 24, at the age of 57 years, 2 months and 26 days of age.
In May 1928, he was married to Miss Ruth Crowder and they were the parents of four children. Surviving are: his
parents; his wife; three children, Betty Jean (Mrs. Tom Hearn); Donald Lee Rion; and Doris Ann (Mrs. Don Freeman)
all of St. Louis; and the following brothers and sisters, Nola (Mrs. Clifford Hinkle) of Bonne Terre; Earl Rion of
St. Louis; Howard Rion of Chillicothe; John M. Rion of Belleville, Illinois; Margaret (Mrs. Raymond Kollmeyer);
Velma (Mrs. Paul Lober); Dorothy (Mrs. Ted Westmeyer); Louise (Mrs. Werth Cottam); and Warren, all of Farmington;
six grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A son, John Everett, preceded his father in death in infancy.
Mr. Rion had been employed by the Union Electric Company
of St. Louis for 30 years.
Remains were in state at the Alexander and Sons Funeral
Home, 6175 Delmar Street, St. Louis, where services were
conducted in the chapel Friday, September 26 at 1:30 p.m.
by his pastor, Rev. Cole of the Maplewood Methodist
Church. Burial was in the Lakewood Park in Affton.

Lydia Marie Roberts
Mrs. Lydia Marie Roberts of 502 South Jefferson, Farmington,
passed away on February 4, 1970 at the age of 24 years. She was the daughter of Fernando Garcia and the late Mrs.
Garcia and was born on August 4, 1946. She was united in marriage to Dwain Roberts who survives with two their
children, Terrie and Gary; also surviving are three sisters, Gloria, Rosie and Jean Garcia and one brother, Robert
Garcia. The body will lie in state Thursday evening at Cozean's Funeral Home. Chapel services will be held at 2
o'clock Friday afternoon with the Rev. Father John Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery
with Cozean's Service.

Don L. Rowe, 74, of Park Hills passed away
July 10, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hosptial in St. Louis. He
was born August 10, 1935 at Flat River, Mo.
He was a member of The Miracle Center of Bonne Terre,
Chapter 27 Boiler Makers in St. Louis. He will be
remembered best as a good husband, father, grandfather and
nephews. Most people know him as an avid competitor and
tri-athelete who practiced the discipline of spiritual
health as a way of life. He fought a good fight and was a
winner in his families eyes - He was just a heck of a guy.
Preceded in death by Parents, Leo Murdick and Abbie
Madaline (Pratte) Rowe; One Brother, Jack Rowe.
Survived by Wife, Helen M. (Bilyew) Rowe of Park Hills;
Children, Larry L. Rowe of Troy, IL, Mael Neal of Memphis,
Dona Record of Phoenix, Mark Rowe of Troy, IL; 16
Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Leanna Kay
of Boston.
Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 17,
2009 at St. Joe Park Pimm Day Use Area - Shelter 2. A
memorial bike ride will immediately follow.

Rosa Ann (Green) Sago
Rosa Ann Sago, (nee Green), daughter of Joseph and Mary Green, was born Sept. 15, 1867 at Bonne
Terre, Mo., and departed this life at her home in Bismarck at 1:10 p.m. July 26, 1947.
She was married to Frank Sago on March 8, 1888 and to this union five children were born, Alice Rickmar
of Bismarck; Wm. Sago of St. Louis; Mary Whaley of Empire, Oregon; Morris Sago of Melville; Dorothy Dilliek
of St. Louis. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
She professed faith in Christ and united with the Pentecost Church in 1934 and remained a faithful member until death.
Funeral services were held at the Assembly of God Church in Bismarck, Sunday, July 27th, with Rev. J. L. O'Dell
in charge and the sermon was delivered by Rev. Jenkins of Steelville, Mo. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.

Mary Maude Sheeley
Mary Sheeley, 80, of Bismarck died January 23 at her home in Bismarck. She was born July 19,
1915 in Ellington, daughter of the late William Ellis and Mamie Allison. She was also preceded
in death by her first husband, Clarence Asberry; second husband, Charles Sheeley.
Mrs. Sheeley was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Bismarck.
She is survived by one son, James R. Asberry of Huntsville, Ala.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
two brothers: Archie Ellis of Farmington and Harry Ellis of Bismarck; seven sisters: Marie Bain, Dolly Rickman,
Louise Rickman, Eloise Winfrey, Lucy Love, Betty Mayberry all of Bismarck, Rosalie Chatman of Hillsboro; several
nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday after 5:30 p.m. at the Caldwell Memorial Funeral Chapel in Park Hills. Funeral
services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the St. John's Catholic Church in Bismarck with Father Ambrose Stratman
officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Bismarck.

Edith Soward
Miss Edith Soward died at the home of her sister, Mrs.
Isam Cash, Thursday, June 10th at the age of 16 years.
Funeral services were held at the home this afternoon,
conducted by Rev. E. H. McClannahan, after which the
remains were taken to Bonne Terre for interment. To the
sorrowing friends we extend our deepest sympathy.

Clara Annetta Kerlagon Steagall
Clara Annetta Kerlagon Steagall was born April
9, 1874. She was united in marriage to William Steagall, April 6, 1896. To this union were
born six children, four boys and two girls, four of these preceded her in death, leaving only
two surviving. They are Ernest and Belva. Mrs. Steagall was a professed believer in Christ
and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church at Elsbury Chapel. She passed away Thursday,
April 22nd at noon at the age of 52 years, and thirteen days. She leaves to mourn her going
her husband, William Sreagall, one son Ernest, one daughter, Beva (SIC), three brothers, Dr.
C. C. Kerlagon of Bismarck, Zeno Kerlagon of Bonne Terre and Morris Kerlagon of Bonne Terre
Route 1; four sisters, Ada Thurman of Farmington Route 2, Mrs. Katherine Morris of Bonne
Terre Route 1, Mrs. Cora Thurman and Mrs. Martina AuBuchon of Bonne Terre and a host of
friends. The funeral services were held at Elsbury Chapel, northeast of Bonne Terre on
Saturday afternoon at two o'clock and were conducted by Rev. J. B. Ragsdale of Bonne Terre.
The body was laid to rest in the Kerlagon cemetery. The family have the sympathy of their
many friends in the passing of this mother and wife.

Rella E. Sweatt (Parks)
MRS. HUGH J. SWEATT
Rella E. Parks Sweatt, daughter of the late Milton and
Amanda Ritter Parks, was born August 5, 1902, and departed
this life on Saturday, November 27, 1948, aged 46 years, 3
months and 22 days.
On July 20, 1927, she was united in marriage to Hugh J.
Sweatt. To this union were born four children, Maxine
(Mrs. C. D.) Horton, Norma June, H. J., Jr., and Linda
Carol, who with her devoted companion survive. She is
survived by one granddaughter, Cheryl Lee Horton, also the
following brothers and sisters: Mattie (Mrs. R. H.)
Marks, and Lavada (Mrs. F. S.) Miles, of St. Louis; Mollie
(Mrs. H. E.) Crabdree of Farmington; Naomi (Mrs. J. F.)
O'Bannon, of Farmington Route Two; Newton I. and M. V.
Parks of St. Louis; and Archie C. Parks of Doe Run. Many
other relatives, loved ones, friends and neighbors mourn
the passing of this lovely Christian character.
In early life she became a Christian and a member of the
church and at the time of her death she was a loyal member
of the Harlem Place Methodist Church, in St. Louis,
Funeral services were conducted from this church on
Monday, November 29th, at 11 a.m. by her pastor, Rev. J.
L. Wood. Interment was at Parkview Cemetery, Farmington.
Death is a cruel word to us, but a sweet and peaceful
sleep to those who meet it in the triumph of a living
faith and in that faith has our dear one passed on to
await the coming of remaining members of her family, other
loved ones and friends.

Lucinda Dora Sweet (Tullock)
MRS. J. T. SWEET.
Mrs. J. T. Sweet passed away at Monroe, La., at 2:30
o'clock on last Friday morning, August 1st, following an
operation for tumor of the stomach which she underwent on
July 22nd. it was thought the operation had been a
decided success and she was recovering so nicely that
plans were just about perfected for her return to her home
in the country near Monroe when she was taken very much
worse on Thursday of last week and sank rapidly until the
end came. The remains were brought back to Missouri and
to the old home church - Charter church nera Flucom -
where on Sunday afternoon the funeral services were
conducted by Rev. R. G. Ramseyof Flat River. Interment
occurred in the church cemetery.
Lucinda Dora Tullock was born near Plattin, Mo., on June
12, 1865, and was therefore aged 54 years, 1 month and 19
days. She was the daughter of the late John Tullock. On
November 17, 1884, she was united in marriage to J. T.
Sweet. To this union eight children were born, five of
whom are now living - G. G., of St. Francois, A. H., C.
F., Harvey and Miss Reva, who with the husband and father,
reside near Monroe, La., to which place the family moved
from Missouri several yeras ago. Mrs. Sweet also leaved
one brother, Edward Tullock of Bismarck and two sisters,
Mrs. Frank Breckenridge, of DeSoto, and Mrs. Israel
Aubuchon, of French Village. To all of these The News
extends sincere sympathy in their great bereavement.
Mrs. Sweet had been a member of the Baptist church since
childhood. She was a sincere christian, a devoted [end of
